Community Groups s are the small-group ministry of The Kirk. Most meet Sunday or Wednesday evenings for a chance to fellowship, pray, and learn together. Open Community Group sign-ups happen at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Contact Mike Kennison to get plugged into a group.
For those 55 and older, the “Kingdom Seekers” group offers a way to connect with others in the same stage of life. Focused primarily on providing opportunities to socialize and learn together, the steering committee organizes events every quarter or so, announcing them in the Kirk e-Connecter before each event. One never outgrows the need for the encouragement and sharpening that come through friends. So come join the Kingdom Seekers and find out what friendships might be waiting for you!
Missions & Outreach
Once we become Christians, we don't fully stop being self-worshippers. But it means that we stop loving our self-worship. We begin to be able to fight it because there is a newness of life at work in us, growing everyday, slowly setting us free to truly be able to love others. As a result of this, we strive to display love to others with the same grace that we have been shown. We make a high priority of showing merciful acts to the poor, loving our neighbors near and far with gospel truth, and offering our service to God's Kingdom. Learn more about supported missions and opportunities.
Counseling & Support
The pastoral or shepherding care of the congregation is carried out through its pastors, its elders, and through one of our trusted counseling ministries. We also can make recommendations for skilled counselors. Learn more about counseling and support.
