MATSURI WAS SO MUCH FUN
We had such a good time at our last SNF. The Japan Festival, Matsuri, was such a good way to end the year. It is always a privilege to see some of our students serve other areas of the church and for the team to showcase some of their gifts as they each put together their own booth. It was also great to see that everyone was able to engage in the evening, whether it was through Sumo Wrestling, carnival games, or just common fellowship among the youth, children, and leaders. Yall’s generosity and participation throughout the evening will go a long way in serving the Japan Missions Team as they prepare for their trip later this summer. Check out our Instagram soon for some of the awesome Sumo videos.
EAT DINNER AND SUPPORT THE TEAM
The Japan Team is having a fundraiser tomorrow night, May 1st. All you need to do is go and eat at Mike Duffy’s in Kirkwood. If you do that and you mention the Kirk or the Japan Team, then a portion of your bill will go towards supporting our team. Order anything or all things and you are helping the team raise the support they need in order to head to Japan for their missions trip in July. Print this image as a helpful reminder.
Be sure to stop in the back reserved room and say hello to some of our Kirk supported missionaries as a part of this week’s missions conference.
LET’S CELEBRATE OUR SENIORS
The Kirk Student Ministry would like to invite you to a night of celebration as we honor our graduating seniors. We use this night to look back at the Lord's faithfulness and to look forward to all He has in store for this next stage of life. Please join us in the Kirk chapel on May 5th at 5pm for our Senior Celebration. We will enjoy dinner together, a time of encouragement, and worship.
ANNOUNCING OUR SPEAKER
Jonathan Jakes, in his last summer with us, will be our official speaker for the Zone. Jonathan is a veteran youth worker and has spent most of his time with us at the Kirk. He is what we call, an expert in youth ministry. By the time he joins us as the Zone speaker, he will have had 8 years working at the Kirk in Youth Ministry, received a Masters of Divinity, and Master of Arts in Counseling. We could not think of a better speaker to have than our very own Jonathan Jakes at his very last Zone conference.

The school year has not even ended and we are about to fill up our spots for RYM-Florida. If you would like to land one of those spots or ensure that your friend does, sign up asap. A week in Florida for an RYM conference is unlike any other. Do not miss out.
