High School - 9th-12th Grade (14-18 yo) “I could throw the football a quarter mile...” the glory days... the blunder years...Time in High School is equally amazing and awkward, which makes serving our High School students and families one of our greatest joys. These years can be very difficult to navigate alone and we believe that these years should not be navigated alone. Our culture has done a great job of making movies that characterize the High School years very well, but the culture seems to either romanticize those years or leaves them feeling hopeless. We believe that those years are meant to inspire, encourage, and cultivate a lifelong relationship with Jesus. Join us as we seek to cultivate a community of High School students that focuses on this idea.

Hilltop Hilltop is our High School Fall retreat. The weekend is meant for rest among the beauty of God’s creation. It is truly a retreat from our normal pace of life. We get to hear from God’s word, each as much food as like, and play as hard as we want. We like to set the tone for what Sabbath should look like at this retreat.
College Road Trip This 3-4 day venture is meant to fill the gap between the college search process and navigating how our faith should influence our decision making process. We visit colleges and universities of all shapes and sizes, take tours, sit with campus pastors, visit local churches, seek out our alumni, and experience the fun that surrounds each campus. This is not about visiting your desired college, but about letting your faith influence what you desire out of college.
Senior Night Many churches have a time to acknowledge their graduates, but we want to have an entire night to celebrate our Seniors’ accomplishments. This night is a celebration and commissioning of our Seniors. Their graduation does not mean that we are done ministering to them. Their graduation just means that they are onto the next stage of their life. We want to spend the evening encouraging our graduates and preparing for them for what is ahead.
RYM This is our Summer High School conference held by Reformed Youth Ministries. They are a ministry that partners with local churches and assist youth leaders in doing their job by providing resources for youth leaders and churches. This conference is just one way that they assist us. We travel down to Florida, among hundreds of other students and leaders, to hear from great speakers, teachers, to worship, and play hard on the beach. This is our most anticipated event for our students. RYM always does a great job of bringing people to these conference that can deliver the Word of God specifically addressing the students sitting in the seats while we get to revel in God’s beauty around us on the beach.

Sunday Morning Session (SMS) SMS is an hour spent each Sunday morning resting with God’s people, devouring some delicious food, and working through God’s Word. We would call it Sunday School, but it is so much more than that. This is not a time for lectures, but it is a time to explore how God’s Word can encourage us, both through the teaching of the Word and living it out. Join us Sunday mornings from 8:45am-9:45am in the Student Ministry Room (110).

Our hope is that with all four elements of SNF we are helping define what we mean by ‘fellowship.’ It is so much more than a gathering of people. It is equally fun and deep. It is light and filling. It is quiet and loud. At the heart of it all, we hope to give a glimpse, a reflection, or a fraction of what God wants His people to do when they gather.
SNF is structured to start with a time of food, which is provided by our families on a rotation-based structure. We are always humbled by our families’ willingness to provide full meals for our students on a weekly basis. If you are wanting to provide a meal for either SNF group, please let us know of your eagerness.
After dinner, we move into a time of games and play. It is rare that students have the freedom to just play and we want to create an atmosphere where we can enjoy our ability to play without the burden of needing to win. After games, we will move into a time of worship, which is where we encourage all students to participate either on or off stage. We will sing and hear from God’s Word during that time. Our time of worship then prepares us for a time in our D-Groups, which is a great time to connect with a smaller group of like age and stage and be lead by our amazing D-Group Leaders. Find more about D-Groups on the Student Ministry page.
If you are not sure where to connect in the Student Ministry, this is a great place to start. Our D-Groups are focused on creating small groups of students that are a similar age in a similar stage of life. D-Groups meet twice a week, once on Sunday nights during SNF and once during midweek. Each D-Group functions a little bit different because each group is being discipled consistent to their group’s needs. That being said, our D-Groups usually spend Sunday nights navigating a curriculum, predetermined by each leader. The midweek meetings are a time to check in with each other and help bond the group together.
