  1. How can teenagers practically engage with the Spirit?

  2. What do we miss out on when we don't pursue the Spirit in our lives?

  3. What does bearing fruit in the teenage years look like?

D-GROUPS

D-GROUPS

D Groups are our small groups. The D stands for Discipleship and that is the goal of our student ministry. We want every one of our students finding their way into an intentional discipleship relationship reaching toward a more mature relationship with Jesus and we do that through our D Groups.

Each group is broken up by age/grade/gender and are led by two trained Youth Leaders within the Kirk Student Ministry. It is a huge goal of ours to have consistent leaders and students for each group as they navigate the Middle School and High School years together.

D Groups meet briefly on Sunday nights during SNF and during a midweek time slot that works most consistently for the group.

ANNUAL EVENTS & TRIPS

High School

Hilltop (High School Retreat) A High School retreat designed to pull us out of our normal pace of life in order to have greater focus on God, His people, and His creation. Sign up to find space to rest, laugh, eat, and dive deep into the Word of God.

College Night This night is designed to place high school students in front of some of the most important questions when preparing for college and life after high school. Where am I going to go? What am I going to do? How do I pursue my faith on my own? We will take students to an area university to explore these questions. We will eat dinner at a fun restaurant, take a tour of the university, hear from some local college ministry leaders, and dialogue about the coming years.

Senior Night A night to celebrate our seniors. We want to celebrate their time with us. There have been many years and stories to share and we want to provide and a time to celebrate all of them with our seniors. It is an official send off to all of our seniors in a banquet-type setting.

RYM A High School conference surrounded in God’s beauty. We take our High School students to Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center in Panama City Beach, FL for a week of immersing ourselves in God’s Word, playing on the beautiful beaches, worshipping among hundreds of other students, and connecting more deeply with our church.

There are so many more ways to connect as a High School student and for families of High School students to be involved in the Kirk Student Ministry. These are our highlighted and specific events focused on the High School student. Feel free to explore the rest of the Student Ministry page to find out more ways to get involved as a High School student.

Middle School

Seaside (Middle School Retreat) This event is designed to provide a weekend retreat for our Middle School students. It is quick, but packed with fun games, food, service opportunities, and devotionals all geared toward the Middle School student.

Hawks & Hornets  A rite of passage event for our 8th Grade students. We will take one Sunday night in February to explore Scripture for what it teaches us about sexuality. We want to establish a foundation for these students that proves that the Church and Scripture have insight on this topic. Even though it is a hard topic to discuss, it is a topic that Scripture and Jesus want us to wrestle with and ultimately let Him be the authority.

The Undernight  Our most coveted Middle School event. It has been our longest standing event over the years and we believe is one of the most memorable. One long night of food, activities, and The Famous Greenbean Game. No Middle School student should miss this event.

The Edge A Middle School conference held at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. This conference is packed full of games, activities, competitions, worship, and personal pursuit of Jesus. All of this in one America’s most beautiful settings.
