Women’s Ministry

Fall 2025 Bible Study

Women’s Fall Retreat 2025

Step away from the busyness of life and enter the beauty of creation, where we’ll slow down to notice and name the presence of God together. Come be refreshed in His Spirit, surrounded by community and rest.

Upcoming Women’s Ministry events…

Ways to get involved

  • Small groups of women (6-8) meet monthly in homes to share a meal together and study the Bible. This year, we will be using the book “Esther: trusting God’s plan” by Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth. We begin meeting in October and continue through the end of March. You can choose your group, based on your availability:

2nd Thursday of the month hosted by Debbie Stair in Chesterfield 6:30pm with a light dinner.

3rd Tuesday hosted by Susan Fasick in Manchester 6:30pm with light dinner.

Daytime group in Lake St. Louis hosted by Christie Castagno - day TBD.

Sign up by September 24. Contact: Susan Fasick at jsfasick@sbcglobal.net or 636-399-9269

  • In Stitchers Ministry, we love to knit, crochet, and quilt baby blankets while enjoying each other’s company, exchanging patterns, and praying for the birth and adoption of God’s littlest ones at the Kirk and Thrive STL. We meet from 10 am–12 pm on the first Wednesday of the month in various participants’ homes. No sign-up is needed.

For additional information, contact Caryl Wilson at lcwilson88@gmail.com or 314-878-5492.

  • The Book Club meets once a month and we share great conversation, fellowship, and a love of reading. The goal is to read books in a genre rotation: classic, contemporary, and religious. All women are welcome—completing the book is not essential!

We meet monthly, all year, on the second Thursday of the month from 3–4:30 pm. Contact: Patty Roe at pjroe@mindspring.com

  • The Prayer Warriors meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at noon throughout the year. (The only exception is November/December; due to the holidays, we only meet the first Thursday in December.) It is open to anyone! We are currently meeting in Room 213 at the Kirk. Contact: Ellen Henderson at eimboilers@gmail.com.

Through the Kirk Women’s ministry, we desire to know God and make him know by seeking God’s authority, offering grace for brokenness, cultivating humble community, practicing discipleship, and engaging the world (and our neighbors).
