Short Term Missions 2024

What & Where: This year the Kirk is going to Tegucigalpa, Honduras to serve with the Micah Project from July 24th to July 29th. The Micah Project serves children who live on the streets and cares for them physically, mentally, and spiritually through a variety of programs. One of their more prominent programs is a group home that houses 18 boys ranging in age from 12 to 18 that offers education, counseling, and vocational training to remove them from unsafe situations and offer hope for a different life as they move into adulthood.

Who Can Go: Any person who is currently in 3rd grade and up may apply for this trip - but any student between 3rd grade through 8th grade must have a parent willing to accompany them on this trip. While there is no upper-age limit to this trip, we do require that all applicants are able to walk frequently and without aid. We are praying the Lord moves the hearts of those young and old to bring an intergenerational team to Honduras!

Application Details: Applications are now open and will close on January 14th. The team will be decided upon no later than January 18th and announced to the group participants.

While we invite anyone to apply, selection to this team will be prioritized based on the following categories: church membership, Kirk ministry involvement, and external evidence of spiritual maturity
