Giving to the Kirk

  • Give to the Kirk

We believe that our role on earth is to be stewards of what God gives us for the good of others. That includes everything from skills and wealth to relationships and influence. We are called to use all of these things so that the gospel may go forth for others to come to know Jesus Christ. If you would like to give to the mission of The Kirk, you may do so during worship or online by clicking below.

Ways to Give

  • You can make an immediate or a recurring monthly cash gift to the Kirk by credit card or ACH through the Kirk website. All transactions must be charged to your account by 11:59 pm, December 31. A gift can be recorded in the current calendar year if:

    1. Received at the Kirk by December 31

    2. received by mail and the postmark is no later than December 31 (12928 Ladue Road, St. Louis, MO 63141)

    3. you give by credit card or ACH through the Kirk website.

  • Have you considered leaving a legacy through a planned gift to the Kirk of the Hills? Any simple bequest in a will or trust or within an estate plan, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, non-cash assets, and assets transferred using pay-on-death or transfer-on-death documents are gratefully received. Your gift enables the Kirk to continue to impact countless lives—your generous giving endures through the people and ministries at the Kirk.

  • NON-CASH donations of appreciated financial assets can benefit you as well as the Kirk. You may take advantage of stock or bond market gains, if any. A gift of stock (or other appreciated assets) entitles you to a tax deduction for the market value of the donated stock (not just your cost basis). If donated stock has been held for more than one year, you can avoid capital gains tax on any appreciation of the security by donating it rather than donating the cash from sale of the asset. Contact your financial and legal advisors for counsel. To receive a tax deduction in any calendar year, a non-cash gift must be received by the Kirk’s agent, Edward Jones, before the close of business on the final trade day of the calendar year. Call, or email Sarah Stair, Business Manager in the Kirk Business Office, for further information, or to make these arrangements. You will need the following information:

Taxpayer ID: The Kirk of the Hills43-090-9345

  • A Donor Advised Fund which could be established through the PCA Foundation’s Advised and Consult Fund. Cash, stocks, mutual funds and real estate may be donated as a minimum initial gift of $1,000. This enables a current year income tax deduction, eliminates capital gains taxes, and can be used to distribute (anonymously if desired) to the Kirk and/or one or multiple Christian ministries in one or several years. For many, giving this way reduces administrative time and simplifies their giving. For more information, click here, email pcaf@pcanet.org, or call 800.700.3221.
